The big boss vamp's castle lies in the center of vampire territory. Yes, Dracula is a show off. Hence the big ass castle with many floors, countless rooms, a drawbridge, and battle turrets. It is surely a sight to behold.
Dracula isn't the only one who lives here of course. His family resides here, as well as servants, humans who will serve as dinner at some point, and anyone whom Dracula finds worthy. Surrounding the castle is the Vampire city -- homes of the many vamps under Dracula's reign.
This meadow is a place only vampires can truly love. Though beautiful in its own right with its rolling green hills and wildflowers, this meadow has an incredibly dark and paranormal activity to it. When it rains in this meadow, it's not quite so beautiful and serene any more. Many hundreds of years ago a curse was laid upon this parcel of land. Hundreds of years ago it began to rain blood.
Problem is, it only rains here every blue moon, and on that special occasion vampires make sure they come quickly to this sacred place. Some even make their homes here, so that they don't miss the bloody rain showers.
This graveyard isn't full of death plots in the classic sense. It is a vampire graveyard, after all. Despite their feral nature, vampires nevertheless have a strong sense of brotherhood and loyalty to the clan.
It is in this graveyard that the ashes of vampires who have passed are spread. Dracula generally leads an ash-spreading ceremony, and headstones are erected in memory of those passed on. And the name of the place? The first Vampire to ever have his ashes spread here was named John.
The first word that comes to mind when looking at these mountains is this: "whoa." But really, in all seriousness, these mountains are gigantic. Most peaks are 14,000 feet or above, with the tallest being Mount Vladimir at 28,000 feet. There is snow on the taller peaks year round.
This Northern section of the Sirigons is a little over 1/2 of the full chain, and this portion technically belongs entirely to the Nagas. Anyone is allowed to visit and pass through however, for the Nagas are very pleased with their possession and like very much to show it off.
There is a hidden area within the Sirigon Mountains that few know of aside from the Nagas. This is one treasure that they don't mind keeping hidden. Deep inside one of the cave structures is a giant cavern, the inside of which is dotted with huge hot springs.
This is a big hangout place for the Nagas, a location similar to the big communal baths of the ancient civilizations. The occasional outsider comes across this treasure of course, and they are threatened with severe punishment should they let the secret out. Nagas aren't above killing.
This vast system of caverns is home to almost every Naga in the territory. Caves come in every size and shape imaginable. Due to the snake-people's peaceful nature this area is one of the quietest around, with conflict only arising on very rare occasions.
These caverns rise are etched into the west-facing side of the great Sirigon Mountains. Some of the larger holes in the cliff sides are actually entrances to go deeper into the mountains, while others are Naga homes. Be careful where you tread! While Nagas are not extremely or violently territorial, they will usually defend what is theirs in some way.
The side of the Schavo Forest that doesn't back up against the mountains or lead into human territory empties out onto a massive prairie. The lush grasses spread for miles in every direction, ending only at the Cross Roads.
This fertile land is where most wolves, nomadic and stationary alike, make their homes. The prey here is endless and anything can be grown if one tills the land. Small villages have popped up all over the place, mostly restricted to 5-10 homes each for separate packs. There are no documented instances of these territorial beasts sharing a "village."
This forest is dark, foggy, and uncomfortably muddy. Nevertheless it is a popular location for the Werewolves, as many of them find the place quite serene and relaxing. It holds something of a poetic value for some, and is a highly spiritual place for all Werewolves.
Deep in the bowels of the forest lay a shrine-type area, very similar to Stonehenge. It is here that many different types of wolven ceremonies are carried out, not the least of these being funerals and the "Scrvngr", the Werewolf "coming of age" ceremony. Outsiders are strictly forbidden here, and guards are posted in this area 24/7.
This part of the massive Sirigon Mountain Range is a little less than half of the entire range and full ownership of it goes to the Werewolves. The wolves who do not live in the Eschelon fields live in the mountains. There are very few packs up here however, instead it is mostly rogues and loners who reside in the Sirigon peaks.
Some act of nature made this southern part of the mountains slightly smaller with peaks ranging in size from only 11,000 feet to the largest, Mount Ziljian at only 20,000 feet. There are fewer peaks here that have snow on them year-round, though they do exist.
This is the main human city. It is very large, taking up more than 70% of the human territory. It is very heavily populated in some areas, and very sparsely populated in others. It is surrounded by farms that provide food for the city, and pure wilderness surrounds the farms.
The city has a center that is about ten miles across, and this area is surrounded by a protective wall. Only the most important people live here. Outside of the wall are the less fortunate humans; not nearly as wealthy but not exactly poverty stricken either.
This area, The District, isn't actually just singular. It is a section of the city broken up into a number of different sections that serve as the business end of the city. If it's a place that is not a person's house, it can surely be found in The District.
There is a Religious Sector, an Arts/Entertainment Sector, a Governmental Sector, a Market Sector, a Health Sector, and many more. This is where everyone in Delfinor travels to when they need something that they cannot make or do for themselves.
These fields, located just outside of the inner city walls, are home to the many horses in the humans' small attempt of having something to protect themselves from exterior threats. Humans don't have claws or teeth after all, and so an armed cavalry is their best hope for protection.
These fields are large enough for 40 men and their horses to spread out single file and train in their maneuvers and formations. The on-sight barns house hundreds of battle-ready horses, as well as the breeding stock.
Glauxilian is the Elven city that lies on the border of the Vampires' territory. This is where all of the Elves live, and is a city made out of the forest itself. The trees here have been formed by many years of natural magic, and homes are built into the trunks of the trees themselves.
The Elves are comfortable living so close to the Vampires only because the trees have been formed to build a natural barrier. There is no way past it unless you go all the way around it or over it, but over a hundred feet upward is a very inconvenient distance to travel. The trip all the way to the Cross Roads and into the Elves' territory isn't worth it either; what Vampire wants to be traveling so long that he risks getting caught in the sunrise?
This forest is foreboding and intensely magical. Trees extend upwards hundreds of feet and everywhere you look things appear to be oddly unnatural. Trees bend in odd ways, water shimmers with unnatural light, and despite the fact that the sun can not be seen through the canopy of the trees it is as bright as day for the daylight hours.
Deep within this forest lies the Elven city Glauxilian, A fiercely protected and extremely exclusive community. There are enchantments preventing creatures of ill-will from wandering into the city, somehow always ending up back where they started from. Visitors are welcome, but only if the enchantments detect no malice.
The origins of this wide rushing river are unknown. The Elves know where it comes out of the ground, but that's about it. A deep crater in the woods serves as the mouth of the big river, with water just constantly bubbling upward and defying gravity before beginning its descent towards the Cross Roads' Karben Lake.
This river is thin enough to jump across in some sections, and so wide and deep that you need a boat to cross at others. The river is very magical, and this is no fault of the Elves. It's always been this way, keeping its form perfectly and always remaining the same deepness. It seems as though the water will never run out. It passes directly through Glauxilian.
All of the territories in this world of evil meet in one place, and this is what is known as The Crossroads. Given that this area is included in the open territories, no fighting is allowed here. Travel just five miles down any of the roads though and you're fair game.
To the north one will find the Vampires. To the southeast, the Werewolves. The Nagas reside in the east and the Elves in the west. The road leading southwest will take you to the Humans.
Abernor is a somewhat small city that lies just a mile north from where the crossroads meet. In this city you will find Vampires, Werewolves, Nagas, Elves, and Humans alike. Even the occasional Reaper and his horse will wander into this town.
Being located in the open territory, the beings that reside here and do business here are generally of the peaceful variety. There is no conflict here. However, those who are charged with stopping the few open territory conflicts do reside here and they are not to be messed with under any circumstances. Tread lightly before them.
This rather large lake lies to the west of Abernor City. It is fed by the strong Karben river which originates deep within Elven territory. The western edge of Abernor city is actually built upon tall wooden docks that stretch into the waters.
Every type of recreation is welcome here: swimming, boating, fishing, etc. Anything your heart desires. The same rules apply though: absolutely no conflict. This is a place for peace.
